
About Letitia Carroll Simms
​Letitia Carroll Simms has a background in criminal prosecution, practicing for sixteen years in both state and federal court. As a Deputy District Attorney and Assistant United States Attorney, she specialized in prosecuting cases of violent crimes, sexual assault, and unlawful trafficking of firearms, drugs, people, and wildlife. She has received awards recognizing her work from the New Mexico State Bar, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the United States Postal Service (USPS), and the United States Department of Fish and Wildlife (USFWS).
Letitia has substantial trial experience in state and federal courts, trying approximately 60 felony jury trials. Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a graduate of Albuquerque Academy High School, she received her Bachelor of Arts from Texas Christian University in 2004, and her law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2008.
